Melena has long wanted to pursue a career where she could make a positive impact on others. Her passion for urban design, the environment, and her desire to make an impact helped her discover her passion for sustainable modes of transit.
Melena View started her career as an intern at Foursquare ITP during the summer of 2023 before returning to school for her senior year of undergrad. She recently obtained her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, where she majored in environmental policy and planning. She focused on sustainable development, policy, and land use. Melena has developed strong skills in ArcGIS, including spatial analysis, data visualization, and mapping, which led to her obtaining a geospatial intelligence certificate from the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation. She is excited to now work as a junior transportation planner and continue to grow with the company.
