Isobel Readdie

Isobel grew up in California and often relied on alternatives to driving to get around. She has fond memories of riding in the back of her Dads tag-along bike to get groceries as a kid and navigating the Bay Area on BART as a student. These experiences built her appreciation for multimodal, efficient, and accessible transportation systems.

Isobel Readdie (she/her) is fascinated by the intersection of human behavior and the environment, particularly the positive impacts that come from incorporating sustainable transportation into our daily travel patterns. Her background in social science and dedication to sustainability make her passionate about working in transportation demand management (TDM). She excels at connecting with people and enjoys guiding them to consider transportation options that work for their specific needs, improve their commutes, and foster environmentally sustainable habits.

Before joining Foursquare ITP, Isobel worked for a TDM agency based in the San Francisco Bay Area. While there, she assisted in promoting a variety of county-wide commuter benefits and programs to reduce financial barriers to accessing public transportation. As part of the agency’s equity plan, she spearheaded initiatives to partner with community organizations and increase input and participation from new audiences. Isobel strives to bring her experience in community engagement, transportation equity, and marketing to encourage and motivate the adoption of driving alternatives across the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.
