Elijah Burckin

Elijah is an avid musician in his free time and loves to connect to people and communities through art and music. When he’s not working on TDM, he can often be spotted lugging his drum kit around to venues and studios, attending local shows, learning new instruments, and discovering new musical inspirations.

Elijah Burckin is a lover of sustainable transit, focusing his educational and professional efforts on building toward a more equitable, safe, and efficient transportation system. Before joining Foursquare ITP, Elijah worked on transportation demand management (TDM) for the University of California, Berkeley, with a particular focus on equity in a complex and dynamic system, a perspective that he strives to integrate into all his work. As a long-time transit advocate in the California Bay Area, he has a passion for working with the public and aims to approach every interaction with a sense of mutual respect and curiosity. Through his work, Elijah aspires to make a positive impact on reducing barriers to transit and inspiring behavior change.
