Andy has a lifelong passion for cities and believes transportation can be a powerful tool to improve the quality of life, health, and livability in communities.
Andrew Zalewski, AICP is a project manager and senior transportation planner at Foursquare ITP. His diverse experience is unified by a passion for solving difficult problems and using transportation to create better communities. He has overseen public transit, bike share, active transportation, strategic/financial planning, and environmental assessment projects. Andrew is a specialist in micromobility planning, and his work has helped raise over $40 million for bike share systems and active transportation infrastructure.
On the strategic planning side, his work focuses on financial planning, business planning, and transportation research. He has helped transit agencies better prioritize their capital investments, explore new fare structures, and model-out implementation of electric bus fleets. Andrew has contributed to the industry state-of-practice as a principal investigator and co-author on studies for the Transportation Research Board and U.S. Congress, as well as by presenting at major conferences, including the American Planning Association annual meeting, Rail~Volution, Transportation Research Board, and Better Bikeshare Partnership. Finally, he oversees Foursquare ITP’s Philadelphia office.
