Foursquare ITP is working collaboratively with CapMetro to develop a vision plan to guide the strategic thinking of who CapMetro is, who it wants to be in the future, and how it will get there. CapMetro hired Foursquare ITP to help them work through the process of articulating not just what they need to do, but who they want to be in the future and how they will approach an uncertain future, full of both possibilities—including major service expansion—as well as uncertainties.
We worked with our client to conduct a variety of engagement activities – interviews, focus groups, workshops, departmental meetings, board updates, and more – to combine their ideas and inputs to with our team’s ideas and perspective to develop a plan that meets the agency’s needs.
Employees were able to coalesce around four critical results that articulate where the agency is going and how their role in the agency relates to it.

- Articulation of the “critical results” CapMetro has prioritized achieving over the next five years.
- Vision Plan including specific actions CapMetro must take to achieve its strategic goals, developed through a collaborative process.
