Foursquare ITP is working closely with San Francisco Bay Area Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to develop a strategic plan for its commuter benefits program and a tactical approach to reaching program goals and objectives for each program year. Foursquare ITP is helping the MTC define overarching goals for its Commuter Benefits Program and to develop a clear, well-defined roadmap for how to achieve them.
In addition to developing the strategic plan for the Program, we are developing annual work, promotional plans, and evaluation methods. We are also writing annual reports on program accomplishments.
This project will ultimately determine the impacts of the program on trip generation, vehicle miles of travel, and vehicle emissions in the Bay Area.
Solutions and Outcomes
- Reduction in commuter-generated vehicle trips, vehicle miles of travel, and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Increased transit ridership, walking, and bicycling.
