Drew is a Prince George‘s County, Maryland native living in Northeast DC with his wife, two children, and dog Lucy. You can often find him taking neighborhood Capital Bikeshare rides, playing too much Mini Metro, or seeking out tacos and coffee. He loves living a “car-light” lifestyle in a walkable neighborhood with good transit, and wants that opportunity to be available to more people.
Drew Ackermann, AICP (he/him), is a transportation planner who brings a passion for promoting social equity, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting a built environment that allows people to thrive. His experience includes multimodal transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian facility design, campus master plans, survey design, data collection, transportation research, GIS, and technical writing. Before becoming a transportation planner, Drew was a fire sprinkler systems designer, which provided him with CAD skills and an eye for detail. He is skilled at using clear, concise language and compelling visuals to communicate complex ideas.
